The greatest feeling in the world…
…is having a trip planned!
Today I made it official that I’m taking a brief trip to NYC in September for the purposes of seeing a single Broadway show, for which I have paid $360.
Yes, that’s just the price of the ticket. Just my ticket to the show. Our four tickets combined were $1442.50.
Yes I’m serious, and yes I still expect you to interpret this posting as a sincere expression of giddiness at having a trip planned!
My friend Jenny is a HUGE Trey Parker/Matt Stone fan, and she’s been gushing about their musical The Book Of Mormon non-stop since that was a thing one could do. There was never going to be any stopping her from making a pilgrimage to go see this show, and I’ll be damned if that enthusiasm hasn’t rubbed off on me and our other pals! So we bought third row tickets today to see a performance of it in September.
SO expensive, I know, but I also know that the four of us that are going are going to have a great time. After booking the trip, I went to my favorite restaurant, and ordered my favorite meal, and realized that having this trip to look forward to for the next seven months is already worth that price.
